Wild Dolphin Cruise
Embark on an adventure along Tampa Bay’s waters aboard our 72-foot catamaran, the Bay Spirit II.
The Wild Dolphin Cruise at the Florida Aquarium offers a compelling reason to visit, allowing guests to witness the abundant wildlife thriving in Port Tampa Bay.
From bottlenose dolphins and fish to birds, manatees, and sea turtles, the cruise provides an opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
An experienced guide will accompany you on this Wild Dolphin Cruise.
With the help of your guide, you can spot bottlenose dolphins, native bird species, and more.
The launch point for the Wild Dolphin Cruise is located near The Splash Pad on the Outdoor Plaza.
Please be aware that the Bay Spirit II has limited accessibility for mobility devices.
Experience an extraordinary aquatic adventure with SeaTREK, a guided underwater walking tour.
Designed for non-divers aged 10 and older, participants delve into the 15-foot-deep Heart of the Sea habitat.
The visitors can explore a vibrant array of fish, spotted eagle rays, bonnethead sharks, and a majestic loggerhead sea turtle.
Even those less acquainted with water can revel in the wonders of the aquatic world, as swimming is not required.
Lasting approximately one hour, the SeaTREK experience begins with a thorough training and safety debrief, followed by 20 captivating minutes underwater.
Accompanied by certified SeaTREK guides, participants can feel confident in their safety and enjoyment.
Penguins Backstage Pass
The Penguins Backstage Pass offers a delightful thirty-minute encounter with these adorable creatures.
Accompanied by knowledgeable biologists, guests learn about the penguins’ feeding habits and explore their surroundings within the aquarium.
They even witness the penguin showcasing his impressive swimming skills.
Surprisingly, these penguins don’t slide on their bellies since they are “warm weather” penguins.
The program lasts approximately 30 minutes and is available twice daily at 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
